JDPA is the only non-profit organization of decorative art in Japan consisting of individual decorative painters and companies which supply decorative painting products. Activities of JDPA | ||||||||
1.Convention Convention is held once a year and we exhibit more than 1,000 pieces of artworks. People from all over the world come to join the convention. During the convention, seminars are held by Japanese instructors as well as by famous international artists. Business members can open a booth. At the same time, the works which are submitted for a certification program by the association are exhibited. 2.A nationwide seminar tour by a famous international artist A distinguished international decorative painter is invited every fall to teach at seminars held in various cities in Japan. 3.Certification Program of JDPA The aim of the certification program is to improve members' artistic skills and to judge the accomplishment of one's artistic skill. 4.Seminars held by Chapters These seminars are taught by instructors who are JDPA members. They aim to provide lectures such as color theory, calligraphy, faux finishing etc. 5.JDPA Magazine JDPA Magazine contains useful information for members such as activities of the association, announcement of the coming seminars, and pages for exchange of information among members. |
